My goal in revisiting my essay is to dig a bit deeper into Strawson’s text and find some passages that challenge / complicate my ideas, as most of what I have at this point are quotes from Beck’s text that I’ve used to support my thesis. With this being said, I also want to explore some other ways that I could support my thesis moving forward in my draft, without getting repetitive in my reasoning. Speaking of repetition, I have also noticed that I tend to recycle my vocabulary a lot throughout my essay drafts, as pointed out by my peer reviewer and that is another thing that I am going to have to sift through to get my essay where it needs to be as a final draft. Additionally, I’d like to add a paragraph that dives deeper into my take on narrative writing and talk more about how consider myself to be a very narrative person and how the use of narrative has impacted my life thus far. With this being said, I find that my biggest challenge when writing in this way, comes if I am being asked to write about my point of view or my “take” on something, I tend to second guess whether or not the passages in which I mention my own opinion, make sense to outside readers. So, to tackle this, I will for sure be utilizing my peer reviewer and If necessary, Professor Emerson to read through my draft to ensure it’s final draft material before Monday.
